Diving equipment FAQs

When choosing diving gear, what is the most important piece of equipment I should spend my money on?

If you are like most people, you will want to get the nicest of all pieces of scuba equipment. But most people have limited funds. This means they seek ways to cut corners with costs. Although this is acceptable with most pieces of dive gear, this should never be done with regulators. Your life may depend on how well the regulator works so this is an item you will not want to skimp on.

Is there a certain way I should pack my dive bag?

The way you pack your dive bag is not as important as the procedure you follow when it is packed. In order to ensure that you always have all the equipment you need, it is wise to pack your dive bag with the items in the same places each time. This way you can make sure that all the equipment is there simply by looking at it and seeing if everything is in its proper order.

What is the number one thing I can do to keep my dive mask clear and useable?

A foggy dive mask doesn’t benefit anyone. This is why it is important to make sure that you make sure that you wash the mask with fresh water after using it. This helps clear away dirt and debris, but also helps avoid the build up of any kind of salty residue that could affect visibility.
